Texans’ head coach Lovie Smith announced Wednesday that Davis Mills will start at quarterback Sunday afternoon at the Dallas Cowboys.
Mills, the Texans’ starter for the first 10 games of the season, went 1-8-1, throwing 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Houston benched Mills in favor of Kyle Allen in Weeks 12 and 13, going 0-2 while being outscored 57-29.
Allen finished his two starts with two passing touchdowns and four interceptions. He also lost a fumble Sunday, which the Cleveland Browns returned for one of their two defensive touchdowns on the day.
