Cowboys add depth to DT room, sign Anthony Rush to practice squad

The Dallas Cowboys have signed former Philadelphia Eagle defensive tackle Anthony Rush to their practice squad in response to the injury of Johnathan Hankins.

Rush, 26, has bounced around the league in his four-year NFL career and has made 10 starts. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of UAB by the Eagles in 2019. He spent the entire season in Philly, playing in nine games and totaling nine tackles. In 2020, he ended up playing one game in Green Bay before playing four games in Seattle. He spent time with both the Falcons and Titans in 2021, where Atlanta would become his most suitable destination. He made six starts last season with Atlanta and has made four starts for them this year. He most recently had a stint with the Eagles on their practice squad.

In a corresponding move, Dallas released linebacker Malik Jefferson.
