Cowboys add San Jose State edge rusher Viliami Fehoko with 129th pick in the fourth round

The Cowboys continue to add to their pass rush by selecting San Jose State edge rusher Viliami Fehoko in the fourth round. Fehoko is the second cousin of Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea.

Fehoko was first-team All-Mountain West this past season and was named Mountain West defensive player of the year. He’s an overwhelming force on the defensive front with 26 career sacks. He gives you some positional versatility, as you can play him on the inside of the line if need be. He plays with a high motor and does not stop pursuing the gap. According to Pro Football Focus, Fehoko holds a run defense grade in the 99th percentile for college players.

At 6-4, 276 pounds, he lacks elite athleticism and bend on the edge, which may force him inside. However, with Fehoko’s production, he should find a spot in the rotation one way or another.
