Dallas Cowboys address need, help Dak add TE Luke Schoonmaker with second-round pick

The Cowboys came into the 2023 draft with a gaping hole at tight end after Dalton Schultz left in free agency this past offseason. After not addressing it on Day 1, Dallas lands Michigan Wolverines TE Luke Schoonmaker with their second round pick (58th overall).

At 6-7, 251 with a 4.63 40 time, Schoonmaker has the athletic profile to be a tight end that plays a variety of roles for the Cowboys. His production at Michigan improved after Erick All went down with an injury early in the 2022 season. He may not be an instant starter but will be in the TE rotation for the Cowboys from Day 1.
