Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears: Thursday Injury Report for Week 8

The Cowboys have released their official Thursday injury report and it is beginning to populate more than what would be ideal. A pair of key defensive contributors were added to the list on Thursday and will be monitored as we get closer to gametime.

The following players are listed on the report:

Did Not Participate:

RB Ezekiel Elliott: Zeke did not practice for the second straight day, but reports are encouraging for the Dallas rusher. Zeke did rehab work on his knee during practice and it is reported that not only did he not have a noticeable limp in his walk, he also jogged onto the field with a smile on his face. Recent reports are leaning towards Zeke being held out for this week’s game against Chicago, but his rehab to this point seems encouraging.

WR Noah Brown: Brown did not practice Thursday with a foot injury. He was also held out of practice yesterday and was expected to miss for the second straight day.

S Malik Hooker: This is Hooker’s second straight day missing practice which was expected by the coaching staff. He is nursing a hamstring injury.

DE Sam Williams: Williams is a new addition to the injury report as he did practice on Thursday with a knee injury. His situation will be monitored as the week progresses. The rookie has quickly found a considerable role on Dan Quinn’s defense.

Limited Participants:

LB Micah Parsons: Parsons was limited in practice on Thursday with a shoulder issue. There are not any implications that he could be in danger of not playing Sunday, but his injury status is noteworthy heading into this weekend.

TE Dalton Schultz: Schultz was limited for the second straight day with the same nagging knee issue he has had for several weeks. Despite his injury, rookies Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot have done well when he has not been able to suit up.

OT Terence Steele: Steele was limited in practice on Thursday with a neck injury. This is his second straight day under this designation. The coaching staff are treating Steele with caution and want to, “be careful,” with him.

LB Devin Harper: This is Harper’s second straight day as a limited participant in practice. He is dealing with an achilles injury.

Full Participants:

LB Damone Clark: Clark was once again a full go in practice fresh off the NFI list. The Cowboys are thrilled to get him back on the field.

S Jayron Kearse: Kearse was a full participant in practice on Thursday after being listed with a foot injury. He looks to be fine given it was his second straight day as a full go.

DT Neville Gallimore: Gallimore looks to be on track to return this week after not playing in last week’s game. Gallimore has been dealing with a wrist injury.

DT Quinton Bohanna: This is Bohanna’s second straight day as a full participant in practice. He was listed with a shoulder injury.

DT Trysten Hill: Hill was a full participant in practice for the second day in a row. He was new to the report this week with a thigh injury.
