Dallas Cowboys vs. Los Angeles Rams: Wednesday Injury Report for Week 5
Ten players were listed on the Cowboys’ official injury report, however, half of them were full participants in practice.
The following players have been listed on the report:
Did Not Participate:
QB Dak Prescott: Dak did not participate in team practice, but he did do some work off to the side. He is reportedly still at least a week away from returning to the field after injuring his right thumb in Week 1. Prescott is said to not be able to grip the football strongly enough to come back.
CB Jourdan Lewis: Lewis did not participate in practice today due to a groin injury that he suffered during pregame warmup before the Week 4 game against Washington.
TE Jake Ferguson: Ferguson is new to injury report after playing in last week’s game. He was unable to practice today due to a knee injury.
Limited Participants:
S Donovan Wilson: Not a huge cause for panic, but Wilson was limited in practice due to an ankle injury. His status will be tracked for the rest of the week. He has been one of the most impactful safeties in the NFL up to this point.
DT Quinton Bohanna: Bohanna left Sunday’s game early due to a supposed neck/shoulder injury. However, it is a good sign that he was able to participate in practice in a limited capacity today.
Full Participants:
TE Dalton Schultz: Schultz was a full go at practice today after being limited all of last week with a knee injury. Schultz was active for last week’s game but did not catch a pass.
WR Noah Brown: A player who has had some of the best chemistry with Cooper Rush found himself on the injury report this week. Noah Brown was a full participant in practice despite being listed with a neck injury.
S Jayron Kearse: Kearse was a limited participant all last week and was inactive for the game on Sunday. However, he finds himself as a full go this week in practice recovering from the knee injury he suffered in Week 1.
S Malik Hooker: Hooker was a full participant in practice after being listed with a thumb injury. Does not seem like anything serious.
G Connor McGovern: McGovern participated fully in practice today after being limited all last week. He was active for Sunday’s game, so he looks good to go from now on.
In news not related to the injury report, Cowboys’ long snapper, Jake McQuaide, suffered a season-ending tricep injury. Following the injury, the team has signed former pro-bowler, Matt Overton, as well as Tucker Addington to fill the role.
