Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday Injury Report for Wild Card Round
The Cowboys have released their injury report following Thursday’s practice ahead of Monday night’s playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The first impression from the report is that it is short, which is a great sign for Dallas as they seem to be getting healthy at just the right time.
The following players have been listed on the report:
Did Not Participate:
There were not any players listed on the report who did not practice.
Limited Participants:
DE DeMarcus Lawrence: Lawrence was limited in practice with a foot injury, as he has been the past several weeks. This is standard for him as the team is trying to protect his health as much as possible leading up to Monday night.
OT Tyron Smith: Smith was a limited participant in practice due to a knee injury. Smith has been dealing with knee issues for years and just recently came back from injury. He immediately slotted into the right tackle spot after Terence Steele got injured, ending his season. His situation will be monitored as the week progresses.
Full Participants:
C Tyler Biadasz: This is a great sign for the Cowboys, as Biadasz logged a full practice right away after missing last week’s game with an ankle injury. Getting Biadasz back on the offensive line would help tremendously, as they have been struggling in recent weeks with both run blocking and pass protection.
LB Leighton Vander Esch: Vander Esch has missed the past several weeks with a neck injury, but he logged a full practice on Thursday. He looks to be on track to finally make a return to the field.
It is also worth noting that defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins was not listed on the report as he is technically still on IR, but he is expected to make a return this week as well.
