The Houston Cougars football team had four players selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, but they were not the only ones that made rosters over the weekend.

UH saw three additional players sign as undrafted free agents following the draft. Art Green signed a deal with the Denver Broncos.

Green racked up 50 total tackles for Houston during the 2022 season, and he was third on the team with 38 solo tackles. He also had two interceptions, which was also second among the team.

Former Houston tight end Christian Trahan reached an agreement with the Cincinnati Bengals. He caught 23 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns in the 2022 season. Trahan had 37 receptions for 398 receiving yards and two touchdowns during the 2021 campaign.

UH linebacker Donavan Mutin inked a deal with the Indianapolis Colts.

Mutin led Houston with 84 total tackles, and he also had one forced fumble during the 2022 season. He was a captain for the Cougars for three straight years.

Houston defensive lineman D’Anthony Jones also received a minicamp invite with the Chicago Bears. Jones led the Cougars with both seven total sacks and three forced fumbles.
