Houston Cougars basketball guard Mylik Wilson enters transfer portal
Houston Cougars basketball guard Mylik Wilson will enter the transfer portal and leave the program after one season. Wilson’s departure was first reported by Verbal Commits.
Wilson joined the Cougars on June 3, 2022. He transferred over from Texas Tech. Wilson did not play a single minute with UH because he redshirted the 2022-23 season.
The Rayville, Louisiana native began his collegiate career playing two seasons for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. He spent one year with the Red Raiders before transferring to Houston.
Wilson’s decision to leave Houston comes on the heels of the additions of LJ Cryer and Damian Dunn.
The Cougars also have Jamal Shead, who is going through the NBA Draft process and maintaining his college eligibility, Ramon Walker and Emanuel Sharp as guards on the roster for 2023-24. UH will also add freshman Kordelius Jefferson in the summer.
Terrance Arceneaux was also listed as a guard in UH’s official roster for 2022-23, and he will be back for Houston’s next campaign. With Wilson’s exit, Houston has one scholarship spot open for the 2023-24 season.
