Houston Cougars basketball to face off against Miami in Sweet Sixteen
The Houston Cougars basketball team’s Sweet 16 matchup is set.
One-seed Houston will take on five-seed Miami in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Region semifinals from T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The winner will advance to the Elite Eight. The game is set to tip off at 6:15 p.m. CT and air on CBS. Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, and Grant Hill will be on the call with Tracy Wolfson as the sideline reporter.
The Cougars (33-3) defeated Auburn, 81-64, on Saturday to advance to their fourth straight Sweet 16 appearance. The Hurricane (27-7) beat the four-seed Indiana Hoosiers, 85-69, on Sunday night to move on to the regional semifinal game.
Miami junior guard Isaiah Wong led the way against Indiana with 27 points and eight rebounds. Senior guard Jordan Miller added 19 points and five rebounds.
