Houston Texans 2023 schedule released: Matchups with Steelers, Saints highlight nine-game home slate

The Houston Texans have changed quite a bit this offseason. Former Texans linebacker DeMeco Ryans is returning to Houston as the team’s head coach, taking over for Lovie Smith and hoping to build a winner. The Texans made a statement during the 2023 NFL Draft, picking Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud second overall before trading up for the third overall pick and selecting Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. Houston has also signed established veteran players like tight end Dalton Schultz and guard Shaq Mason in an effort to build a solid foundation.

Ryans’ Texans will be young but talented, and will face a challenging schedule this fall. Houston will take on quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson (Ravens), Aaron Rodgers (Jets), and Joe Burrow (Bengals) on the road, while hosting the Steelers, Saints, and others.
