Houston Texans Friday Injury Report for Week 15
The Houston Texans list seven players out for Sunday, including six starters.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE:
WR Nico Collins (foot): Collins did not practice all week and is OUT for Sunday.
DB Steven Nelson (foot): Nelson was injured Week 14. He has not practiced all week and he is OUT for Sunday.
RB Dameon Pierce (ankle): As expected, Pierce will not play this week. He is OUT for Sunday. He has a high ankle sprain and is likely to miss multiple weeks.
DL Taylor Stallworth (calf): Stallworth was a limited participant in practice Wednesday before being unable to practice Thursday and Friday. He is OUT Sunday.
DB Derek Stingley Jr. (hamstring): Sting will miss his fifth straight game Sunday.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION:
WR Brandin Cooks (calf): Despite Pep Hamilton saying Thursday that Cooks “looked fast” in his return to practice, Cooks is OUT for Sunday. The back-to-back limited practices bode well for his availability next week. With both Cooks and Collins out, Chris Moore and Amari Rodgers should be the team’s starting receivers.
OL Kenyon Green (ankle): Green was a limited participant in practice all week but has been ruled OUT for Sunday. This is a significant blow for the Texans’ offensive line, which has played the best they have all season the past two weeks.
OL Justin McCray (hamstring): McCray did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and was only a limited participant on Friday. He is officially listed as QUESTIONABLE; however, the fact he was unavailable Week 14 and missed two of three practices this week is very concerning. McCray is the primary backup at tackle, so he would normally be the guy to replace Kenyon Green in the lineup. Backup center Jimmy Morrissey, who saw some time at guard Week 14 in Dallas for Green with McCray out, would be the next man up.
FULL PARTICIPATION:
All of these players do not have an injury designation for Sunday’s game:
FB Troy Hairston (chest)
DL Kurt Hinish (shoulder)
DL Roy Lopez (hip)
OL Laremy Tunsil (illness)
