Houston Texans roster moves for Week 16

The Houston Texans have made several roster moves ahead of their Week 16 matchup on the road against the Tennessee Titans.

The Texans have placed wide receiver Nico Collins on injured reserve with a foot injury, ending his season. Collins’ injury has caused him to miss the previous two games. Collins finished the season with 37 receptions for 481 yards and two touchdowns. Collins is ranked 32nd among wide receivers with a 72.4 rating by Pro Football Focus.

In a corresponding move, Houston has activated reserve safety Grayland Arnold from injured reserve. Arnold suffered a quadriceps injury in the Texans’ Week 8 matchup with the Titans at NRG Stadium and was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 3.

With Houston losing Collins for the season, the Texans added depth at receiver by signing Malik Turner to the practice squad. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound Turner is in his fifth season out of Illinois. In 44 NFL games, including three starts with the Seahawks, Cowboys, and 49ers, Turner has 29 receptions for 414 yards and four touchdowns.
