Houston Texans Thursday Injury Report for Week 5
Two key players moved to full participation Thursday.
The Houston Texans released their Thursday Injury Report for Week 5.
Did Not Participate:
LB Blake Cashman (concussion): Cashman is still in the protocol. Given what has transpired with concussions in the NFL this past week, it would make sense if the Texans erred on the side of caution with Cashman. The pending return of Christian Harris makes it easier for the team to allow Cashman some extra recovery time should he need it.
OL Austin Deculus (ankle): Deculus has not practiced in nearly 3 weeks because of the injury.
DL Jon Greenard (ankle): this marks two consecutive missed practices for Greenard, who is in danger of missing this week’s game. He will need to get in some kind of practice tomorrow. The pending return of DL Mario Addison helps alleviate the pain if Greenard has to miss this week’s game.
TE Brevin Jordan (ankle): While Jordan has ascended to TE1 on the depth chart, he hasn’t practiced in nearly 3 weeks. He has missed the last 2 games. Jordan Akins has played well each of the last two weeks.
WR Chris Moore (hip): Moore has solidified himself as WR3, but will likely need a practice on Friday to play Sunday. Tyler Johnson, who has yet to dress for a game since being claimed on waivers by Houston, could be in line for his first action if Moore is unable to go.
Limited Participation:
None.
Full Participation:
DL Maliek Collins (knee): Collins has been a mainstay on the injury report as the team manages his practice load while he deals with a knee injury.
OL Kenyon Green (knee): he is not in danger of missing Sunday’s game.
DL Kurt Hinish (illness): Big Hiney is feeling better, and should be good to go.
OL Tytus Howard (ankle): he has been a full participant each of the past two days. Nothing to worry about here.
DB Derek Stingley Jr (elbow/shoulder): Stingley is on track to start Sunday.
