Houston Texans Wednesday Injury Report for Week 5

Houston Texans Wednesday Injury Report for Week 5

Nearly a quarter of the roster was listed on the Wednesday report.

Thirteen players were listed on the Houston Texans Wednesday injury report, including eight who did not practice at all.

Did Not Participate:

LB Blake Cashman (concussion): Cashman suffered the concussion Week 4 vs. the Chargers and is currently in the protocol.

OL Austin Deculus (ankle): This begins the third consecutive week Deculus is missing practice with this injury. He has not suited up for a game yet.

DL Jon Greenard (ankle): Greenard played his normal rotation of snaps Week 4.

DL Kurt Hinish (illness): Hinish also played a his normal allotment of reserve defensive snaps Sunday as well as some special teams snaps.

DL Jerry Hughes (rest): Hughes standard Wednesday off.

TE Brevin Jordan (ankle): Jordan has missed the last two games with this ankle injury. With the release of Pharaoh Brown, Jordan has ascended to the top of the depth chart with OJ Howard and Jordan Akins behind him.

LB Christian Kirksey (rest): Kirksey played all 70 defensive snaps in Week 4. He was the only non-defensive back to do so.

WR Chris Moore (hip): Moore was third in WR snaps in Week 4.

Limited Participation:

DL Maliek Collins (knee): The team has been managing Collins’ practice workload each week and he works to get fully past a knee injury.

WR Brandin Cooks (rest): He’s fine. Nothing to see here.

DB Derek Stingley Jr. (elbow/shoulder): Stingley suffered a bruise during Week 4 but only missed a total of 9 snaps the entire game. He re-entered the game after suffering the injury and being checked out in the medical tent. Coach Lovie Smith said the brace he was wearing today at practice was to protect it and, “he should be good to go.”

Full Participation:

OL Kenyon Green (knee): Green played all 57 offensive snaps Week 4.

OL Tytus Howard (ankle): Howard played 56 of 57 offensive snaps Week 4.
