Jalen Pitre named to PFWA All-Rookie team
The Houston Texans’ second-round pick in the 2022 draft was the only Houston player named to the squad.
On Tuesday, the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) released their 2022 All-Rookie team, including Houston Texans safety Jalen Pitre.
Pitre led all rookies with 147 tackles, ranking 11th in the NFL this season. His 147 tackles are the second most in franchise history among rookies (DeMeco Ryans 156, 2006). Pitre was the only rookie this season to post five games of double-digit tackles; no other rookie had more than three.
Pitre also finished the season with five interceptions, tied for second-most among rookies this season and the second-most by a rookie in Texans history (Dunta Robinson 6, 2004).
