Kenyon Green officially listed as starter for Texans
Green’s move to the starting lineup is now reflected on the team’s depth chart.
Two days after making his first career start, Texans rookie LG Kenyon Green is now officially the starter.
Green, the 15th overall pick in this year’s NFL draft, made his first start Sunday in Denver against the Broncos in a move that leaked out a few hours before kickoff. On Tuesday, he was officially moved up the depth chart, replacing OL Justin McCray.
Green played every offensive snap for the Texans Sunday, and had a strong game. In 43 pass protection snaps, he did not allow a sack or a hit, and only allowed one pressure.
The Texans run blocking was notably improved as well, and the team ran consistently behind Green. Green has earned the praise of his coaches and fellow teammates as well.
With Justin Britt placed on the NFI list, McCray will now back up all three interior line positions.
