Marcus Sasser will start for Houston’s first-round NCAA Tournament game versus Northern Kentucky
Senior guard Marcus Sasser started for the Houston Cougars basketball team’s first-round NCAA Tournament game against Northern Kentucky, the program announced.
The Dallas Native aggravated his groin injury during the first half of the game, a UH spokesperson said. He did not start the second half. He was on the stationary bike and then joined the team on the bench.
The All-American player missed Sunday’s game in the American Athletic Conference championship against Memphis. Sasser is averaging 17.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game for Houston.
