Sunday’s season opener vs the Colts will be the annual Liberty White Out game. The Liberty White Out game celebrates first responders. All fans are encouraged to wear white, and the team will wear their all-white uniforms for the game.

Sunday’s honorary Coin Toss Captains will be Harris Co. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, HPD Chief of Police Troy Finner, HFD Executive Assistant Fire Chief Rodney West, and 15-year firefighter Jacob Stolzle. Local first responders will present a field-sized flag during the playing of the anthem.

Multi-platinum recording artist and native Houstonian Clay Walker will perform the National Anthem. There will be a commemoration for the 21st anniversary of 9/11 as well, prior to the anthem.

Houston hip hop legend and Grammy nominee Paul Wall will be Reppin’ H-Town on the drum before Sunday’s game. Wall will also perform at halftime alongside the Prairie View A&M Marching Storm. The Marching Storm have performed at both the Super Bowl XLV halftime show and the 2011 MTV Woodie Awards Show.

The Texans will welcome the Uvalde High School football team in a suite for Sunday’s game. The Texans will wear an “Uvalde Strong” decal on their helmets for Sunday’s game vs. Indianapolis.
