Rockets’ Sengun to miss Monday’s game
Rockets center Alperen Sengun will miss Monday’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to an illness.
Sengun finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists in 31 minutes on Sunday against the Pelicans, and appeared on the Rockets’ injury report Monday afternoon.
Sengun is averaging 14.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists this season while shooting 55.2% from the field. He has played in 65 of 70 games in his second NBA campaign, but he’s struggled in three games against the Warriors, scoring just seven points in 22 minutes. Both are lows for Sengun against Western Conference opponents.
Jalen Green also appeared on the Rockets’ injury report as questionable with a left thigh contusion after scoring 40 points on Sunday. Rockets head coach Stephen Silas said he expects him to play, but he’ll go through warmups just to be sure.
