Saints in the community this week
The Saints always give back and stay engaged with the local community and surrounding areas. Here are a few highlights of their week:
Water For Jackson, MS
Former Saints running back Deuce McAllister teamed up with Rouses Markets to hand out 38,000 bottles of water to Jackson, MS residents. Jackson, the capital city of Mississippi, has been without clean water for some time. The relief the residents had from this outreach was amazing! So good to see Mississippi native McAllister use his fame for the good of the people.
Cam Jordan visits elementary school
All-Pro defensive end Cam Jordan visited the third to fifth-grade kids at Lafayette Academy Lower Elementary. He stressed the importance of a good education and reading and comprehension skills. Cam also spoke about having good character as something else that will help them throughout their lives. Those kids will remember this moment for years to come!
The team is doing so many things in the community every week! I’ll try to spotlight at least a couple here so that we bring attention to it. We always hear the bad stuff. It’s time to start spreading some good news!
