Texans add two to practice squad
Houston added depth at both tight end and wide receiver.
Wednesday, the Houston Texans announced they had signed two players to their practice squad, TE Nick Eubanks and WR Davion Davis.
Davis, 25, is reuniting with Houston from last season. He is from Hutto, TX and played collegiately at Sam Houston State. The former Bearkat was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019 by Minnesota, where he appeared in 2 games but did not have a target. He was waived by Minnesota prior to the 2020 season, and did not latch on with a team. He signed with the Browns practice squad in 2021, and the Texans signed him from there in October 2021. Davis appeared in 2 games for the Texans last season, starting one. He recorded a 17 yard catch for the team a season ago.
Eubanks, 25, went undrafted in 2021 out of Michigan before signing as a UDFA with the Cowboys. He was waived by Dallas August 31, 2021 and signed with the Eagles practice squad two days later. He finished the 2021 season with the Detroit Lions. He signed in the offseason with the Bengals, who waived him August 30th. He has not appeared in an NFL regular season game.
