Texans bring back Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero for a second interview
The Texans completed their second interview with Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero on Wednesday. He first met with the Texans nine days ago.
Evero is one of many names the Texans are considering for their head coaching vacancy. The Texans are reportedly interested in multiple other defensive candidates, including 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans and Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon.
Evero is considered one of the top head coaching candidates on the market after just one season as Denver’s lead defensive man. Before this past season, he spent five years with the Los Angeles Rams as a safeties coach and defensive passing game coordinator. He worked for the 49ers as both an offensive and defensive assistant and spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a defensive quality control coach.
Evero is also being considered by the Colts, Cardinals, Panthers, and his own Broncos for their head coaching positions.
