Report: Texans DE Jonathan Greenard to be placed on IR
It appears that the Houston Texans will be without defensive end Jonathan Greenard for the next four to six weeks. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Greenard would be placed on injured reserve with a calf injury. After missing the Texans’ Week 5 game with the Jaguars due to an ankle injury, Greenard was expected to return following the bye for Houston’s Week 7 matchup in Las Vegas against the Raiders. Instead, Greenard’s name popped up on the Houston injury report on Thursday and again on Friday, and he will now miss at least the next four games. Expect Mario Addison and Rasheem Green to assume bigger roles in Greenard’s absence.
