Texans lose Ogbuehi to Jets
New York signed the veteran tackle off Houston’s practice squad.
Tuesday, the New York Jets signed veteran offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi from the Houston Texans practice squad.
Ogbuehi, 30, was once the 21st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. After spending his first four seasons in Cincinnati, Ogbuehi has bounced around the league. The Jets will be his seventh different franchise.
Ogbuehi signed with the Texans on March 18, was released on August 30, and signed to the practice squad the next day.
New York is desperate for help at tackle, as the team has lost starter Mekhi Becton for the season and has placed both former Texan Duane Brown and George Fant on IR this month.
