The Houston Texans announced Wednesday that they released a pair of defensive linemen.

Houston released DL Demone Harris. Harris, 26, has been a member of the main roster most of this season but has not dressed for a game. Harris has been a healthy scratch all season.

Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018 out of Buffalo, Harris signed with the Texans’ practice squad November 10, 2021. Houston waived him August 30, 2022, and signed him to the practice squad the next day. He was promoted to the active roster September 10.

The Texans also released DL Micah Dew-Treadway from their practice squad. Dew-Treadway, 25, has never appeared in an NFL game.
