Texans sign safety Grayland Arnold

Arnold has been a member of the Texans practice squad.

Saturday, the Houston Texans announced they had signed safety Grayland Arnold to the active roster from their practice squad.

Arnold, 25, was originally undrafted out of Baylor in 2020. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He spent time between the Eagles practice squad and their active roster, playing in six games. He was released on September 3, 2021.

He was originally signed by the Texans to their practice squad on September 15, 2021. He was elevated to the main roster for the first time December 11 and signed to the active roster December 23. He finished the season on IR after being injured Week 16 against San Francisco.

On August 30, 2022, Arnold was waived by the Texans. He was signed to the practice squad the next day.

Arnold saw his first action of the season Week 3 in Chicago, where he logged 22 special teams snaps (76%).
