Texans sign seven to reserve/future contracts

Texans sign seven to reserve/future contracts

On Tuesday, the Houston Texans announced they had signed the following seven players to reserve/future contracts:

WR Alex Bachman (26, 6-0, 190): Bachman went undrafted in 2019 out of Wake Forest. He was part of the Rams and Giants organizations before joining the Texans practice squad in November 2022. His NFL experience has been only four games with the Giants on special teams.

RB Gerrid Doaks (24, 5-11, 228): Doaks was a seventh-round pick by the Dolphins in 2021 out of Cincinnati. He was first-team all-AAC his senior season with the Bearcats. He was twice a member of the Texans practice squad in 2022.

WR Drew Estrada (25, 6-0, 196): Estrada signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Texans in 2022. He tore his Achilles in practice two months ago.

WR Johnny Johnson III (23, 6-1, 199): Johnson made his Texans debut in Week 18, playing nine snaps without recording a reception. He originally signed with the Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent in April 2022 out of Oregon.

DL Adedayo Odeleye (25, 6-5, 271): Dayo is part of the International Player Pathway program. He did not play in an NFL game this season. He played college football at Loughborough University in the U.K.

DB D’Angelo Ross (26, 5-9, 190): Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Patriots in 2019 out of New Mexico, Ross also had a stint with the Dolphins before joining the Texans practice squad on Nov. 22, 2022.

TE Mason Schreck (29, 6-5, 252): Formerly a seventh-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2017, Schreck joined the Texans in June of 2022. He was cut at the end of training camp and signed to the practice squad the next day. He appeared in three games for the Texans this season, starting one. He recorded his first career reception in Week 4 against the Chargers.
