Texans head coach Lovie Smith noted Britt has not practiced all week.
On Friday, Texans head coach Lovie Smith announced that starting center Justin Britt would not play this Sunday in Denver against the Broncos. Britt has been away from the team this week for what the team says are ‘personal reasons.
Smith did not share any more information on Britt’s situation but indicated that more details would come later.
The Texans have been practicing all week with backup center Scott Quessenberry working with the starting unit. Quessenberry saw significant time in the preseason at center as well.
Scott is the younger brother of both David and Paul Quessenberry, both of whom are former Texans.
