Three Cowboys voted as 2022 All-Pros, two of them First Team

On Friday, The Associated Press released the 2022 NFL All-Pro Team, comprised of the best players at their respective positions from this past season. Of the players voted onto the roster, three Cowboys were selected, and it should not come as much of a surprise as to who they are. Future Hall of Fame offensive lineman Zack Martin got the nod at right guard, while linebacker Micah Parsons earned a spot as an edge rusher on the First Team. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb made Second Team.

Zack Martin can be argued as the best and most consistent player on the Cowboys for nearly a decade. Since his nine-year career began in 2014, he has made eight Pro Bowls, only missing 2020 due to injury, and has been a First Team All-Pro six times. Martin has been one of the most consistent linemen in the league as the right guard for Dallas, and he does not look to be slowing down.

Micah Parsons quickly became one of football’s most impactful defensive players since coming into the league last season. He was a First Team All-Pro last year as a rookie, won Defensive Rookie of the Year, and was voted second for Defensive Player of the Year last season. This year, he continued to dominate, racking up 13½ sacks as he moved to a more prominent edge rushing role. Parsons is deemed by some as the best defensive player in football because of his combination of speed and strength, as well as his defensive versatility.

CeeDee Lamb emerged as the Cowboys’ clear top receiver this past season after they traded Amari Cooper to Cleveland in the offseason. Lamb has improved each year since coming into the league three years ago. This year, he seemed to find a connection with Dak Prescott catching 107 passes for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns. Lamb finished the season incredibly strong, notching over 100 yards receiving in three of his last four games and becoming both a security blanket and big-play threat for this Dallas offense. This is Lamb’s second consecutive Pro Bowl and first All-Pro selection.
