Verlander leaving Astros for Mets
It appears that Justin Verlander will be leaving Houston and will call New York his baseball home for at least the next two seasons. The reigning American League Cy Young Award winner is said to have inked a multiyear deal with the Mets. Sources have indicated that Verlander has agreed to a two-year $86 million contract with New York. The deal is said to include a third-year vesting option.
